Biosketch
Hilton Japyassú is Professor of Biology at the Federal University of Bahia, Salvador, Brazil. Japyassú was awarded a PhD in Psychology from the Universidade de São Paulo in 1998, for his work studying development of behavioral systems. Japyassú's research focuses on animal behavior, specifically behavioral evolution and plasticity, animal cognition and behavioral conservation studies.
